On my Ubuntu laptop my wireless stops working occasionally ( sometimes going a whole day without problems) but eventually the wireless card  becomes disabled , the dmesg command showed me it was something to do with country frequencies as I get the message:

First I would like to point out that automatic login is only to be used in an enviroment that is secure for you needs, or to put it another way - this solution will not score high on security, but if automatic login is needed with wireless (and without the keyring prompt) read on..
